The Importance of Marketing your Business, Even When You are Busy

If like many of us, you feel too swamped by the day job to find time to market your business, think again.

Being busy is a great problem to have, but what happens when your current project comes to an end or sales decrease and you are unsure where your next client will come from?

It is easy to put marketing on the back burner when you have a lot of work on, but, if you don’t make a conscious effort to allocate some regular time to a strategy, you may find yourself in a ‘feast or famine’ cycle, fluctuating from busy to slow periods.

To run a successful business, clear and focused marketing must be part of the bigger picture, even if you set aside just 20 minutes a day. Ensure you are disciplined, schedule some time into your diary just as you would if you were working for another client and reach out to both your current clients and your target audience.

Everybody has the same amount of time, you may feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day, but you need to create time to make this happen, which may mean having to sacrifice another less important task in order to allocate those 20 golden minutes into your daily routine. Let’s face it, if you don’t do it, no one else will.
